When I saw that there was going to be a shop dedicated to Ferrero Rocher, I just had to book a ticket to check it out. Dolce by Ferrero Rocher is a pop-up restaurant that invites you into the world of Ferrero Rocher. They've described themselves as a "multi-layer dining experience". Because that's literally what you're getting. A plate of five different desserts, representing each layer within a Ferrero Rocher chocolate. In one word - deconstructed. As a kid, I used to eat my Ferrero Rocher layer by layer.
Described as a multi-layered, dining experience, Dolce by Ferrero Rocher will allow guests to explore the layers of the iconic chocolate favourite. Located at 21 Slinsby Place, Covent Garden each dining experience lasts 45 minutes. Following this the dining experiences ends with an indulgence in the traditional Ferrero Rocher chocolate which takes centre stage on the dining plate. I was pretty disappointed not to be able to make it along to the preview for Dolce by Ferrero Rocher but my schedule has just been crazy busy lately. DOLCE BY FERRERO ROCHER COMES TO LONDON
The pop-up aimed to provide guests with a multi-layed dining experience, which took diners on a journey, encouraging them to discover the different elements of Ferrero Rocher chocolate. Guests were treated to five mini desserts, each one representing a separate layer of the chocolate. The case melted when a hot liquid chocolate was poured over the top to reveal a silky ganache.
What associations do you make with Christmas? Ferrero Rocher? The hype around this pop up was none like any other, mainly because they did not hold back on the advertising! Nestled away in the corner of St Martins Courtyard under the beautiful Christmas lights was a long queue of people and an even longer wait. The experience is a sitting down meal hence the turn around time built up as the evening went on.
